As part of the India segment, the EMBA intake 26 participants visited local and international organisations, and had two dialogue sessions with industry leaders, for a holistic experience on understanding the nuances of doing business in these markets.

One session was with Mr Anil Parashar, IndiGo’s CEO and Chairman, InterGlobe Enterprise, during the visit to the airlines’s training centre. He spoke broadly about the marketing strategies of the brand, as they are the largest individual Asian low-cost carrier in terms of jet fleet size and passengers carried.

The other was with Mr Sarthak Seth, Head of Brand & Marketing Communications of Panasonic India, who is also an EMBA intake 12 alumnus. He took the group on an exclusive tour in the factory to view assembly line of air conditioners and washing machines.

The EMBA participants also visited Maruti Suzuki – Way of Life, where participants got a glimpse of the production line in action, and were introduced to the new automation machines that facilitate blanking, paining and more.

During the segment, a module on Macroeconomics and International Finance was taught by Professor Kim Sun Bae and it ended on a high note with a class-organised tour to the majestic Taj Mahal and a networking dinner with our Delhi-based alumni at The Great Kebaba Factory.

At Maruti Suzuki, our participants got to view the production line in action and were introduced to new automation machines that facilitated production processes. While at Dr Lal Pathlabs, they viewed diagnostic and healthcare facilities that were capable of DNA and human tissue testing. Dr Lal Pathlabs is an international service provider of diagnostic and related healthcare tests based in Delhi that is present in 800 cities with 2,000 collections centers, and caters to around 10 million patients a year.
