More wins by undergrads

Our students have continued to do us proud in national and international competitions.

Our BBA team of Chan Yi, Eleanor Low, Fahmi Hamzah and Jerome Tan beat 11 other global teams, to win the Sauder Summit Global Case Competition.

This annual, six-day case competition held in Canada pits teams from international business schools against each other to solve real business situations. Guided by our senior lecturer Doreen Kum, our team’s final presentation, on how the world’s leading social media management company Hootsuite can expand in the Asia-Pacific region with an innovative business development programme (they called it ‘Hoot4help’) clinched the championship. The team also won the People’s Choice award.

Here in Singapore, our undergraduate ‘Team X’, comprising of Elyena Lee, Krystal Ng and Lee Wei Ren, beat 88 other teams from Singapore to win the national championship of L’Oréal Brandstorm. Another team of our students – ‘Triple Kiehls’, comprising of Grace Teh, Kwek Yi Jun and Keith Wong – took the second runners-up award. Grace also won the best presenter award.

The annual competition provides a global platform to compete for the best marketing strategy and communication campaign for one of L’Oréal’s international brands. This is the second time our undergraduate team has won the national championship. We wish the team all the very best for the Finals! 20140320-Loreal BrandStorm 0168
