Alumni Homecoming Reunion Dinner 2017: Young alumni share their entrepreneurial journey

The Alumni Homecoming Reunion Dinner 2017 was recently held at NUSS Kent Ridge Guild House on 3 November 2017. The event was attended by more than 200 alumni, faculty, staff and students.

There were also alumni that flew in from Bangalore, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia and South Korea to join in the celebrations. They include Rahul Tadimalla, (MBA 2007) Founding Partner, RSVP Capital Advisory and President of our Bangalore Alumni Chapter, and Park Jae Woo (MBA 2007), Director, Samsung Electronics and President of our Seoul Alumni Chapter. The emcee for the event is Lee Ming Hui (BBA 2008), Managing Partner, Q Research Consulting. Mr Lee has volunteered to be the emcee for numerous past alumni events. He is also Director (Youth Wing) of NUS Business School Alumni Association (NUSBSA).

Supporting the event were members of the School’s deanery led by Dean Professor Bernard Yeung and Deputy Dean Professor Hum Sin Hoon.

One key highlight of the event was a panel discussion where we invited MoolahSense CEO Lawrence Yong (BBA 2002) and CashShield CEO Justin Lie (BBA 2010) to share their entrepreneurial journey. Also on the panel was entrepreneurship expert Professor Michael Frese and Deputy Dean Professor Hum Sin Hoon, who was the moderator.

Earlier in the day, Professor Joe Cherian, Director, CAMRI, held a masterclass “The Opportunity in Infrastructure for Emerging Markets” for more than 20 alumni on how infrastructure assets can be an attractive value proposition.
